Richard Gibson
Rich Gibson has extensive experience in the preparation of traffic and parking studies in Los Angeles and San Diego.
Rich currently provides ongoing transportation consulting for the Cities of Monrovia and Big Bear Lake, including traffic and parking studies, bicycle, safe-route-to-school, and pedestrian analyses, speed surveys, and traffic impact report reviews. He is currently conducting parking and access studies for proposed Metro A Line stations in Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, and Claremont, as well as transportation studies in Commerce, Pomona, San Ramon, and throughout Los Angeles. He is currently preparing transportation assessments for numerous residential and studio projects.
He conducted transportation studies for The Ford Theatres, The Citadel Outlets, The Gardens Casino, and the City of San Fernando. Other key projects include a traffic impact fee update and residential trip generation study for the City of Arcadia, transportation and parking analyses for Pepperdine University, and transportation studies for Westfield’s shopping center expansions at Santa Anita, Valencia Town Center, Carlsbad, North County, and UTC. Rich graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Communications before deciding to become the third generation of Gibsons working in the field of transportation engineering.
