Hollywood Bowl

GTC worked with the County of Los Angeles to develop a comprehensive plan that could be implemented over time to improve mobility, traffic and parking operations at the Hollywood Bowl, a 17,500-seat event venue in the Hollywood Hills.

GTC reviewed the operations plan of the extensive bus and shuttle program that connects the Bowl to communities throughout the County, as well as the neighborhood protection/barricade plans, parking operations, deployment of Traffic Control Officers, changeable message signs, freeway operations, and surface street traffic control plans. Based on the current and projected mobility patterns, GTC provided immediate and near-term solutions to improve pedestrian circulation, patron parking, rideshare operations, and bus/shuttle parking, as well as to reduce vehicle-pedestrian conflicts and reduce traffic congestion on event nights. GTC focused on strategies and designs that would allow for multi-modal parking and circulation efficiencies while still providing safe pedestrian connectivity.
